Nursery & School Wall Murals

Reading corners, corridors and sensory rooms printed in hours, with no wet paint and no solvent smell — the room goes back into use the same day.

Nursery & school murals

Walls Children Actually Look At

Corridors, reading corners, sensory rooms and play areas — printed straight onto the wall in a few hours, during a half-term or over a weekend, with no wet paint and no solvent smell for anyone to come back to. The ink cures the moment it is laid down, so a room used on Friday is used again on Monday.

From £150/m² · free estimate in 60 seconds

Cured instantly, nothing left to off-gas

UV ink hardens on contact rather than drying over hours. There is no lingering smell and nothing tacky at child height.

Fits an inset day or a half-term

Most walls are finished within a day. We plan around your calendar so no room is out of use during term time.

Wipe-clean and knock-resistant

The print sits in the wall surface, not on a film over it, so there are no edges for small hands to pick at and it cleans like paintwork.

Worth knowing

There is no laminate, vinyl or wallpaper involved — nothing to peel, curl or be pulled off at floor level. That is usually the deciding factor for a nursery: applied graphics fail first exactly where children reach them.

Where it goes

Spaces Built Around a Wall

Reading corners

A tree, a treehouse or a storybook landscape that makes a corner feel like somewhere to sit rather than somewhere left over.

Corridors & stairwells

Long runs of illustration, number lines and alphabets printed seamlessly at any width — no repeat, no join.

Sensory & quiet rooms

Soft, low-contrast scenes chosen to calm rather than stimulate. We will steer you away from busy artwork here and say why.

Halls & dining rooms

Big single images that give a bare hall some scale, printed high without closing the room for days of scaffolding.

Playgrounds & outdoor walls

Exterior render, block and brick all take ink. Outdoor work is quoted at an uplift and we are straight with you about weathering.

Care & residential homes

Familiar landscapes, local scenes and clear wayfinding — the same technique, aimed at recognition rather than play.

NOTE Safeguarding and access: we work to your visitor policy, and the whole team on site can provide DBS certificates on request. Tell us your requirements when you enquire rather than on the day, and we will plan around them.

Wall assessment via photos

Send a few photos and rough measurements — no site visit needed to quote.

STEP 2

Artwork proof & approval

We prepare a scaled proof and refine it with you until it's right.

STEP 3

On-site printing

Our mobile rig arrives fully equipped and prints directly onto your wall.

STEP 4

Final walkthrough & cleanup

We check the finish with you, protect the space and tidy up completely.

School questions

What Schools and Nurseries Ask

More on how the printing itself works over on the main FAQ, and what it costs in the pricing guide.

Is it safe around children?
The ink is UV-cured, which means it hardens the instant it is printed rather than drying over hours. Once it is down it is inert and touch-dry, there is nothing wet to cordon off and no solvent smell afterwards. We still mask and clear the area while we work, and the room is ready to use as soon as we have finished.
How long will the room be out of use?
Usually a matter of hours rather than days — one wall is typically a half-day to a day including setup and cleanup. Because nothing needs to dry, the room goes back into use immediately. We are happy to work over a weekend, an inset day or a half-term so no teaching time is lost.
Will it survive children?
Better than the alternatives. Vinyl and wallpaper fail at the edges, which is exactly the height children reach. A printed wall has no edges and no film — the image is in the wall surface, so it wipes clean and resists scuffing the way good paintwork does.
Can pupils design the mural?
Yes, and it is one of our favourite jobs. Send us the artwork — a scan of a drawing, a class collage, a competition winner — and we prepare it for print at wall scale and proof it back to you. Children seeing their own work ten feet tall is the whole point.
Are you insured, and can you provide DBS checks?
We are fully insured for on-site work and can send the certificate with the quote. DBS certificates for anyone attending are available on request — ask when you enquire so we can have the paperwork with you before the visit.
